Gold and Gold Plus Archive Services below are a bespoke service and your DVD will be made individually for you, NOT run off a standard template. We can accept your job in any the following formats...
VHS, SVHS, VHS-C, Video8, Hi8, Digital8, Laserdisc, CDVideo, MiniDV or Standard DV cassette, MicroMV, DVCAM Mini or standard Cassette, Betamax, Video2000. Supplied formats can be in PAL or NTSC with output in PAL or NTSC onto DVD, DVD-Rom, DV or DVCAM both in Mini or Standard size.

We also transfer photographs and 35mm slides to DVD or CD as well. If you have anything unusual.....call or email us you never know we might have forgotten to list it!

There are five levels of service to meet your needs, they are:

Self-edit - £15 per hour of final DVD

Suggested uses: Want to do your own editing on your own system but either can't get the footage into your PC or you can’t generate professional quality footage then this level is for you. Films are supplied on a DVD-Rom as individual .mpgs at 8000kbps and PAL format 720 x 576 resolution so that you can drag-and-drop the file into your own editing software. If you want we can output to DV: Mini DV or Standard DV or DVCAM: Mini or standard size DVCAM.

Bronze - £10 per hour of final DVD

All tapes are recorded onto a hard drive in the order that the tapes are supplied by you, the tapes are topped and tailed so you only save what is on the video. They are then named and recorded onto Verbatim printable DVDs which will have a menu to select the recordings from. Each printed DVD will include family name, tape number, date of film etc or any information you can supply - This is the most cost effective way of getting your memories off tape and onto DVD.

Silver - £16 per hour of final DVD

All tapes are recorded onto a hard drive in the correct chronological order. We edit out all the bits that are not wanted such as fuzzy or blue screens and the bits where you put the camera down for 10 minutes but left it running. Then the chop the film into titles so that you can see what events are on that DVD, then each title has moveable chapters added at main scene changes. Only then are they recorded to Verbatim printable DVDs. Each DVD will have any relevant information printed on it that you can supply such as who, when, where or why? At savethosememories we try to think at least 20 years in advance which is why we try to save as much information about the tapes / films as possible.

Our professional machines have the ability to put moveable chapter points which we place at scene changes so the DVD will be very user friendly and you won't join a scene half way through.

Silver Service transfer features overview:

• Simple Editing is included
• Each event will have it’s own title i.e. "Christmas 1998" or "Rory's 3rd birthday"
• Chapters placed sympathetically to the material (NOT automatic 5 minute chapters)
• Full on disc labelling with titles of your choice and screenshots printed on to DVD

Gold Archive - £50 per half hour of final DVD

For your extra special memories: Includes fully authored DVDs with motion menus created from your footage and menu soundtrack of your choice. This is ideal for Anniversaries, Christmas or Birthday presents or if you just want your DVD to look stunning. Or if you had a tape made a few years ago by someone else and you are unhappy with it, we can bring it into the 21st Century by removing any unwanted soundtrack or titles and replacing them with what you want.

Gold Archive extras overview (in addition to Silver service):

• Full professional PC based non linear editing to 1 / 25th of a second
• Full professional DVD authoring with music / motion menu from your footage

Gold Plus Archive - £100 per half hour of final DVD

The Gold Plus Archive service is only limited by your imagination. We can add photos or a mixture of film and tape. We can create a family tree with photos for each named person. If you think of your ULTIMATE family DVD...we can create it for you.

Suggested uses: That really special occasion. Someone's Silver or Golden wedding, or is your partner hitting the big Four-0 and you want to mark it with a once in a lifetime DVD. Maybe it is Grandma's 70th and you want to put a film together of all the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a mixture of Cine, tape and photographs that will have the laughter and tears rolling and will be the centre of attention on the big day. So much more than just going out and 'Buying something', this will mean so much more. With any Family Tree details supplied by you this film will have all the information on it to last for generations.

Gold Plus Archive extras (all are optional and in addition to Gold service)

• On screen titles and subtitles if required. (excellent for photographs)
• Photoshow of your favourite family photographs
• Family tree screen with dates of birth, death, marriage, offspring etc.
• DVD cover using 12 screenshots or supplied photos
• Mixture of film, tape, photos, slides etc.

Covers - £12 (included in Gold Plus Archive service)

A nicely designed cover is available for both Silver and Gold Archive services. The cover will include all the main details of the DVDs, 12 good quality screen-shots across the front and back, a screen-shot on the spine with all of the DVD details so that it can be seen clearly when on a shelf. For large collections we put three DVDs per case so you do not need to purchase a cover for each disc. We only use good close up people shots for our screen-shots so you can see what your family looked like from your footage.

Copies - £10

You can order multiple copies of your films so friends and family can have them or to keep a back-up copy safe and out of Children’s hands. If you want more than 10 copies the price is only £8 per copy. Copies are identically printed with information and screen-shots like the original.
