Professional Slide, Glass Plate and Photograph Scanning

Formats accepted: 35mm slides, 55mm slides, Photographic Glass plates and printed photographs up to A4 in size.

My fascination with slides started upon discovery of my Grandfather's collection of just over 7250 slides. I digitized each one on a flat bed scanner about 8 years ago. I thought the results were excellent. Then as I became more of a perfectionist I realised that they were actually quite poor in quality. I had exagerrated the quality of them in my own mind purely because I was just pleased to see them. Then last year ago I decided to redo them all to a much higher standard and invested in a state-of-the-art slide scanner. That is all it does. It is not a jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none machine. It just does slides and it does them brilliantly.

Below are a few small examples of what the Nikon 35mm scanner can achieve. Not just in overall quality but in it's ability to get the best out of old, cracked, dirty slides that you might think were beyond salvation.

These slides are completely untouched. They were not cleaned before transfer and were digitized "As is". They have not been touch by photoshop or anything similar, all of the clean-up that you see between "Before" and "After" shots is purely down to the power of the Nikon Slide Scanner.

If you click on any of the small photographs a larger image will open up to show you what the Nikon Slide Scanner is capable of. What you see is not just dirt removal , but the original slides had been infected and the emulsion is cracking and breaking up. I haven't tried to pick "picture perfect" slides to show, I have picked normal slides with some extreme problems to show how good the Nikon Slide Scanner is.

I am also scanning 55mm slides which are quite rare and photographic Glass Plates which are even rarer and extremely delicate. These are looking glorious on my new machinery, they are done individually and with great care and attention to detail.

101 to 250 slides  - £0.80
251 + slides         - £0.75

Prices - 55mm slides, Glass Plates and photographs up to A4 (exclusive of VAT)

01 to 10 items     - £2.30
11 to 100 items    - £2.20
101 to 250 items  - £2.10
251 + items         - £2.00
These prices are to have your images returned as extremely large individual computer files (.bmp) so that you can photoshop, email or print and play with them.

DVD - For a supplement of £0.20 per image you can take them as a playable DVD with backing music.

Blu-Ray - For a supplement of £0.50 per image you can take them as a playable Blu-Ray with backing music.
